| Establishing a net connection is the most common event to occur when a laptop is stolen or a lost laptop is discovered, so that the new owner can gain access to your address books and online logins and accounts. |
| It is also likely that a determined new owner will try to transfer your files and address books to another computer via the internet. With your Security mode enabled your laptop will Close down your laptop immediately you switch Security mode to shut down and this will prevent transfer of your files. Before shut down the anti theft software will transmit the IP address and the server identified to track down the new owner using the IP address. |
